What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist, Communications position at Red Bull Media House?
As the Communications Specialist, you will execute communications strategies across the region for your portfolios. You will be responsible for positioning and delivering effective communication messages across various third-party and owned media channels, including social media, web, TV, radio, and print, to bring our brand image to life and make Red Bull relevant to our target audiences. Your role in Communication is to develop and lead strategic communications through storytelling, earned media, and influencer relations, along with creating marketing content to frequently reach and engage new consumers.
You will act as the "conductor of the orchestra," collaborating with cross-functional teams within our media network to lead and activate Paid, Earned, Managed, and Owned (PEMO) plans within sports, culture, brand projects, content initiatives, and beverage product innovations. You will take full responsibility for earned media activation by building relationships through traditional third-party channels and social influencer amplification.
You will represent Red Bull’s voice to the consumer and oversee the consistent representation of the Red Bull brand in all marketing, media network, and communication activities

CAMPAIGN EXECUTION
Identify local media opportunities and associated pitches for Culture, Sports, and Brand programs. Ideate 'breakthrough' buzzworthy PR moments and activations to promote coverage of Red Bull essential messaging. Maintain a comprehensive region calendar of Red Bull national and regional programs. Update and manage media lists, project plans and coverage trackers. Build relationships with New York media.
COMMUNICATIONS PLANNING
Collaborate with team members on Communications plans. Oversee accurate representation of the Red Bull brand in all regional activations. Measure outcome using analytic tools and report results to all contributors.
ALWAYS ON ACTIVITY
The Communications team is also responsible for the always on activities: You will assist the other members of the communications team in uncovering and filing Athletes stories, dancer stories and national yearlong campaigns etc. They work closely with media relations to mine from the region what is relevant to be included and pitched to the national key media outlets: traditional and social. You will assist in building the pipeline of “always on activity” – FMEDL earned content for athletes, FORBS, collegiates… how can we stay in front of consumers daily via earned social outreach? In coordination with other departments – production, creator marketing, sports marketing etc.

The base salary range for this position is $65,600-$98,000 cash incentives.

- 3 years’ experience in a Communications role for a major brand.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Journalism preferred.
- Proven ability to seek out and create compelling stories.
- Demonstrated editorial thinking and creativity.
- Agile team player capable of effectively completing tasks.
- Passionate and able to inspire and motivate colleagues.
- Strong knowledge of both traditional and digital media industries.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to mediate and coordinate conflicts of interest.
The base salary range for this position is $65,600-$98,000 cash incentives.
