Assistant Nutritional Coordinator

Part Time Position with benefits

Potential to become a permanent position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A part time, limited term position during the summer to assist the Nutritional Coordinator with meal preparation, dishwashing, kitchen clean-up, meal transportation and unloading food deliveries as well as doing simple cooking projects with Camp groups throughout the summer. This position must be able to treat each child and their families with respect, dignity, and caring; and be supportive of cultural differences, special needs, and different family structures. Reports and is accountable to, is supervised and evaluated by the Nutritional Coordinator.

HOURS: up to 35 hours per week

WAGES: $ 16.00 per hour to start; $16.20 per hour after 3 months

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Classes or training in food service preferred.

• A minimum of one year’s experience in food service, preferably in a school or childcare center.

• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and appliances.

• Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Must have reliable access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
