Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in clients and their pets upon arrival

- Charge clients out at end of appointment
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
- Collect and update patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Assist with filing and organizing paperwork
- Provide basic information to clients about pet care, vaccinations, and procedures
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used in veterinary clinics
- Compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners

Please note that experience in the veterinary field is not required for this position. However, if you have experience or knowledge, it may be considered an additional asset.

Summary

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing compassionate customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment. Your core skills in veterinary terminology, animal handling, and pet care will be essential in managing appointments and addressing client inquiries. In addition, your organizational skills will help maintain accurate records and facilitate smooth operations within the clinic. With a focus on effective communication, you will play a vital role in supporting the veterinary team and enhancing the overall experience for both pets and their owners.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
