Red Cedar Commercial Development (RCCD) is a commercial general contractor servicing the Built to Rent, Multi Family and Industrial markets in Charlotte, NC & surrounding markets. RCCD has expertise in the construction of dense Build to Rent (BTR), multi family, hospitality, and industrial projects throughout the Carolinas. The Commercial Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, managing budgets, estimating costs, and sourcing resources while maintaining strong relationships with construction professionals and clients. This role requires a self-motivated, innovative, and organized professional with exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate will excel at collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, while mentoring and leading personnel to deliver cost-effective and high-quality results. A focus on cost control, quality assurance, and safety is critical, along with a proven ability to transform challenges into opportunities.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of our commercial construction projects from planning through completion. With a history of managing large-scale commercial projects, the successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This position plays a key role in driving the success of each project while ensuring every team member is aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Planning and Management
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones in collaboration with the project team.
Establish and manage project budgets, forecasting costs, and tracking expenses to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
Lead, motivate, and coordinate the project team, including subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Implement and enforce quality control standards and processes to ensure project deliverables meet company and client standards.
Identify potential risks early in the project and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays or budget overruns.
Oversee project closeout, ensuring all punch list items are completed, and obtain final inspections and approvals.
Leverage construction management software and tools to track project progress, manage documentation, and enhance communication.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other external partners to foster trust and ensure smooth project execution.
Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering professional growth and improving overall team performance.
