Role Description
Lansing Electric is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician Residential Electrician to join our team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise who is also driven to support the growth of our service department. As a key member of our field operations, the Service Technician will perform electrical installations and troubleshooting in residential settings, while taking initiative to handle issues independently and professionally. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a technician who aspires to grow within the company. Primary Responsibilities
- Electrical Installations & Troubleshooting: Perform high-quality electrical installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance in residential and multi-family homes, in line with safety and code requirements.
- Ensure Quality and Efficiency: Complete jobs accurately, efficiently, and with high-quality craftsmanship, ensuring customer satisfaction on every project.
- Issue Resolution: Take initiative to identify and resolve issues independently, handling customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Track Job Performance: Keep detailed records of work completed, including hours and materials used, to qualify for performance-based bonuses.
- Assist in Scheduling: Coordinate with the Service Manager to ensure efficient scheduling and timely completion of jobs, adapting to changes in client needs or resource availability.
- Commit to Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry standards, techniques, and best practices, and seek to enhance technical skills on an ongoing basis.
- Growth & Development: Continuously seek to improve skills and stay updated on best practices in the residential electrical field. Mentor less experienced technicians and foster a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Education & Experience
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or technical school certification is highly preferred.
- Licensing: Valid electricians license in North Carolina required.
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years of hands-on experience in residential electrical work. Experience with multi-family residential work is a plus.
- Reliable transportation (truck, van, or similar vehicle) to transport tools and equipment to job
- Valid drivers license and clean driving
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, installations, and
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and perform physically demanding
- Familiarity with current electrical codes and safety
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours; 8 am - 5 Occasional weekend work may be required.
Job Type:
- Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per

Work Environment:
Office and construction site environment with a business casual dress code. Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, in addition to standard tools and construction materials and equipment used when building a home are used in this role
Physical Demands:
- The role requires the ability to talk and hear, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and Occasional lifting of office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds, may be necessary. Some travel might be required.
