Description
Red Cedar is looking for a VP of Finance & Accounting to lead the finance and accounting team, providing accurate financial reporting to executive leadership and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and government regulations. The position reports to the CEO and collaborates with executive leadership in financial activities and offers strategic financial advice. The ideal candidate:
- Review, update, and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee finance and accounting operations
- Reviews, optimizes, and communicates financial reports, both at the corporate and project level, to the CEO
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cash Management
- Collaborate with CPAs and external auditors to ensure accurate tax reporting and successful audits
- Collaborate with Program Managers to report and advise on the financial health of their programs
- Review and offer support with pricing
- Review contracts for financial accuracy before execution
- Collaborate with insurance providers, banks, and other financial institutions to maintain relationships
- Train and lead the finance and accounting team in:
- Accounts Payable management and aging
- Accounts Receivable management and aging
- ERP / Accounting System management
- Financial and general ledger reconciliations
- Contract setup, reporting, and closeout
- Indirect rate structure and calculations
- Proper cost allocations
