Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming and water safety. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating students of all ages and skill levels in swimming techniques, promoting water safety, and fostering a positive learning environment. Your expertise in various sports and physical activities will enhance the overall experience for our students.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each student.
- Educate students on water safety practices and the importance of swimming skills.
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate various swim techniques and skills progression.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in the pool area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to promote swim programs and events.
- Engage with students in a positive manner, encouraging their participation and enthusiasm for swimming.
- Utilize your experience in sports coaching or related activities such as Karate, Judo, or Basketball to enhance instructional methods.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Swim Instructor or similar role is preferred.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate various techniques effectively.
- Experience working with students of all ages, particularly children, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of lifeguard practices and first aid/CPR certification is a plus.
- Ability to climb in and out of the pool area easily while maintaining physical fitness.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate effectively.
- A background in health club environments or sports coaching is advantageous.
- Must possess patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to help others learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 50 per week
