Job Summary
Red Comet, a premier education services agency are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Workers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers while ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. You will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Duties
- To support the Food & Child Nutrition Services (FCNS) Department by performing meal preparation, service, cashier and cleaning duties at the school campus
- Adhere to high level of safety and sanitation standards
- Assist and prepare food and beverage for breakfast, lunch, supper and other programs according to standardized recipes and guidelines to serve students and staff in a safe and efficient manner
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and portion sizes.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for events, including banquets and catering services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment.
- Follow all food safety guidelines, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food supplies and reporting shortages.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service to schools is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, teaching staff, and team members.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food handling safety standards.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential traits for this role.
