JOB SUMMARY for Service Technician
Red Dirt Septic is looking for a Service Technician for our Choctaw location. The right candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing aerobic and conventional systems at residential and commercial properties. Maintain tools and equipment on service vehicles and keep them in working condition. Maintain and log accurate information and communicate regularly with customers and our office. This is a safety sensitive position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for Service Technician
- Perform bi-annual services on aerobic systems.
- Be able to correctly diagnose and repair aerobic and conventional systems.
- Maintain tools and supplies on truck and keep in working condition.
- Drive vehicles to commercial and residential locations.
- Gain access to wastewater tanks, including hand digging.
- Correctly input notes on work orders to ensure work is done.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements for Service Technician
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Be able to perform physically demanding- tasks such as lifting or digging in outdoor conditions.
- Be able to use and read a voltmeter.
- Be comfortable with speaking to homeowners about work being completed.
- Occasional evening and weekend will be required.
- Subject to pre-employment background check and drug screening in accordance with company policy.
- Copy of current driving record (MVR) will be required.
WORKING CONDITIONS for Service Technician
- Monday - Friday, additional hours may be required including nights and weekends. Required to work overtime as needed.
- Will be required to cover On-Call.
- Regularly work around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
- Regular attendance and punctuality required.
