Role Description
We are seeking a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to provide individualized instruction to preschool-aged children with disabilities in homes, daycares, and schools. The SEIT will implement IEP goals, collaborate with families and educators, and support children’s academic, social, and behavioral growth in the least restrictive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one special education services in various learning settings.
- Develop and implement IEP goals using evidence-based strategies.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and therapists to foster inclusive learning.
- Monitor student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Ensure compliance with special education regulations and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field.
- NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities (Birth–Grade 2).
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and early childhood development.
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptive teaching skills.
- Reliable transportation required for travel between sites.
