The Financial Data Analyst is primarily responsible for the construction, analysis, integration and integrity of financial and other data sets that inform the functional areas of the Foundation to meet departmental objectives, drive informed decisions and enhance efficiency.
This cross-functional team member is recognized as an innovator in the creation of useful, timely and accurate information. This position requires supporting change and active, self-directed learning. The position may also aid and support the management of day-to-day financial operations.
Requirements
- Gather and analyze financial and market data from various sources
- Assist with financial modeling, including projects and trend analysis
- Integrate data into existing reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI) and implement additional reporting tools, as identified
- Compile adhoc reports for functional teams
- Establish and maintain systems for centralized circulation of regular reports
- Work in consultation with the Finance Team to ensure efficient system integration and functionality for reporting
- Evaluate data integrity and suggest modifications, as identified
- Compile and distill information for presentation and reports
- Work with the IT and Finance functions to establish and maintain data governance and security
- Other duties as assigned by the CEO, President or CFO
Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Finance, Analytics, or similar
- 3 years of relevant experience in data management, governance, analysis and modeling
- Preference for experience in data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI)
- Professional and maintains a high standard for world-class impressions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Handles confidential information with absolute discretion
- Detail-oriented and solid organization skills, yet flexible
- Flexible and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and timely
- Service-oriented and team-oriented
- Enjoys and actively participates in a fast-paced environment
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
