Job Summary: We have an immediate need for a Driven, Precise, and Adaptable Junior Software Architect to lead the completion of the integration between JIRA/Atlassian and our clients' case management software. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement high-performance APIs to integrate JIRA/Atlassian with clients’ case management software
- Collaborate with contracted software developers and team members to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Evaluate, identify and develop software solutions
- Configure and customize JIRA workflows, fields, screens, permissions, and reporting to meet business needs
- Integrate other tools and systems (i.e. Slack, Teams), ensuring seamless data flow
- Provide technical support for Jira, and other company-utilized software, including troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Assist with network and hardware management as needed
- Document all user-facing and client-facing development processes, standards, and guidelines for future reference
- Plan, track and schedule software deliverables
- Locate and direct solutions for critical challenges involving software and hardware interface
- In-house technical support as needed
- Develop good working relationships with other employees, owners, and vendors
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates with equivalent on-the-job experience and will also consider those who have earned relevant certifications, such as Certified Software Architect or Microsoft Azure Certification
- Proven experience as an API Developer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian tools
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Groovy
- Experience with Atlassian plugin development and scripting
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integration techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with network and hardware management is a plus
- Experience with working on a development team is a plus
