What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Analyst position at Red Hat?
Red Hat is in search of a Privacy and AI Risk and Compliance Specialist to help meet the demands of our Global Privacy Program and rapidly evolving AI strategy, the needs of our internal and external stakeholders, and evolving government regulations in the areas of Privacy and AI. This is an emerging talent role that will provide broad exposure to these subject matter areas and an opportunity to learn Red Hat’s business.
The successful candidate will work alongside members of the Red Hat Global Privacy Program to embed governance, compliance and responsible technology standards into the evaluation and development of Red Hat processes, solutions and initiatives. Responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to: performing reviews of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and AI Assessments (AIAs), documenting evaluating and recommending privacy compliance and AI governance strategies and solutions, reviewing use cases to identify and mitigate risk, and other strategic and tactical activities necessary to implement and maintain Red Hat’s enterprise compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities
The salary range for this position is $66,820.00 - $106,960.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Learn and master Red Hat’s Privacy and AI Risk and Compliance framework, growing into a subject matter expert
- Support all areas of Red Hat’s Global Privacy and AI Risk and Compliance programs, including conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and AI Assessments (AIAs) and processing data subject requests (DSRs) in accordance with Red Hat and industry best practices
- Work with internal stakeholders to address and mitigate compliance risks and gaps
- Support training and awareness, including preparation of educational materials and other assets
- Partner with Red Hat Legal team as needed to review and resolve internal and external risk and compliance matters
- Work across all Red Hat business functions as a champion and advocate for responsible technology, AI governance and privacy compliance
- Strong communication skills and effective communication at all levels of the organization and customer base
- Interest in the quickly evolving and emerging AI space
- Experience navigating nebulous and ambiguous business problems, such as in a Business Systems Analyst or Risk and Compliance role
- Familiarity with and ability to understand technology and perform reviews of technical solutions
- Ability to construct well-founded, clear, and concise analyses and recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to quickly understand complex issues and solve problems while managing multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Familiarity with laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA and the EU AI Act
- Degrees in disciplines such as Business, Computer Science or Information Technology
