Job Summary: Kitchen staff are primarily responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining kitchen stations, and assisting with prep work as assigned. Kitchen staff must be capable of working as a part of a team, maintaining a clean workspace, completing sidework as assigned, adhere to all safety standards, and attend any required meetings and trainings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards, ensuring high-quality culinary offerings.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment, ensuring readiness for service.
- Coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient preparation and execution of menu items during service periods.
- Assist with prep work, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning ingredients, to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items, to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding ingredient shortages or discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas, following cleaning schedules and procedures.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a line or prep cook preferred, but not required.
- Obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler’s Permit through the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department. You must present evidence of a valid permit before or on your first day of employment.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
