What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Tar Crew Laborer position at Red Lake County, MN?
Assist in tar-patching operations and various road maintenance operations from the end of May through the middle to the end of August as directed by the Tar Crew Supervisor and Maintenance Foreman. Position may be occasionally assigned to other seasonal job duties within the Highway Department under the direction of the engineering staff or Maintenance Foreman.
Applicant is required to be 18 years old upon starting date. The position will start approximately the end of May.
The position generally works Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day. Wage starts at $19.62 per hour.
- Experience with pulling a two-wheel trailer and minor service and repair of various equipment.
- Must be able to fill out daily reports (time sheet) and keep records of work completed.
- Must be 18 years old upon starting date.
- Possess a valid Minnesota Class D driver's license.
- Hear warning devices such as back up alarms.
- Physically lift 50 pounds.
- Be able to do manual labor.
