ABOUT:
Red Light’s internal Creative Services team is seeking a driven, detail-oriented intern with interests to expand their social media / digital marketing experience and gain a better understanding of the electronic music space. Ideal candidates will desire to enhance their skill sets, learn new ones, approach challenges enthusiastically, take creative initiative, and adapt to feedback with ease.
You will be exposed to a wide variety of media projects and operations of the industry. You will work under the supervision of the social media / digital marketing team and participate in meetings with our design, photo, and video counterparts. This position offers the opportunity to work with influential people in the electronic community and experience the inner workings of an in-house creative team. Red Light Management is a cornerstone of the music industry, upholding and growing its standards of artistic excellence time and time again.
The right candidate will have a strong portfolio, relevant marketing experience, a passion for music and art, a positive demeanor, consistent work ethic, and a desire to grow creatively.
Term: January 14th – May 9th. 14 hours/week commitment. We are based in Culver City, Los Angeles and function on a hybrid schedule. Candidates who can come in at least once a week (Tuesday or Wednesday) are strongly preferred.
This is a paid position. School credits can be earned pending your school’s policy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook and all other social media platforms.
- Familiarity with editing short form content for Reels & TikTok in-app (Graphics, Overlay Text, Sounds, Effects, etc.).
- A strong proficiency in spreadsheet building, particularly for data analysis and reporting.
- A basic understanding of Meta Ads Manager and the concepts behind digital ads.
- Has a finger on the pulse of current TikTok and pop culture trends in the music space and in general.
- A creative mind who can help ideate social media initiatives for different artist brands.
- Someone with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic, who is attentive to detail, well-organized, eager to learn, and receptive to feedback.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must have exceptional time management skills. Must be able to work on hand off projects accordingly.
- A strong interest in learning more about social media management, digital marketing, ad strategy & analysis, and content creation.
- A keen interest in the electronic music industry
- Must be able to commit 14 hours per week, January 14th – May 9th.
