General Manager – Baymont by Wyndham Kent

Baymont by Wyndham Kent is looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our hotel operations. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and exceptional customer service skills to ensure the hotel runs efficiently while providing an outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership:

• Oversee all daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high service standards.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Address guest concerns and oversee service recovery efforts to maintain high guest satisfaction.
• Work closely with department heads to maintain operational excellence in all areas.

Financial Management:

• Monitor and control the hotel’s financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to optimize revenue and cost control.
• Maximize room revenue and occupancy rates through strategic pricing and sales initiatives.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes.

Sales & Marketing:

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new business and maintain relationships with existing customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and online booking platforms.
• Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website optimization, social media, and online reputation management.

Staff Leadership & Development:

• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team across all departments.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to staff.
• Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and high morale.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, safety regulations, and company HR policies.

Guest Experience & Quality Control:

• Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by maintaining exceptional service standards.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
• Regularly review guest feedback and implement improvements based on reviews and surveys.

Facilities & Maintenance Oversight:

• Work with maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure the hotel is well-maintained and meets safety and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee capital improvement projects and routine maintenance to preserve the property’s value.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications:

• Prior Hotel Management Experience
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, financial statements, and revenue management strategies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make strategic decisions.
• Experience with hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of local hospitality laws and regulations.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $47,687 - $57,200 per year (based on experience).
