Front Office Manager
A Front Office Manager oversees and manages the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring smooth check-in/check-out processes, managing guest relations, and leading the front office team to provide exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising and Managing Staff:
- Oversee and manage the front office team.
- Train, coach, and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service.
- Schedule staff, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient operations.
- Evaluate staff performance and address any issues or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and other departments.
Guest Relations and Customer Service:
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Ensure a smooth and positive guest experience during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay.
- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Identify and address operational challenges to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Front Desk Operations:
- Oversee all aspects of front desk operations, including reservations, check-in/check-out procedures, and guest services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to guest bookings, arrivals, and departures.
- Ensure the front desk is well-stocked and organized.
- Process payments and ensure accurate cash handling procedures.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner.
Other Duties:
- Assist with group bookings and special arrangements for VIP guests.
- Develop and implement new policies and procedures to improve operations.
- Monitor front desk security and safety.
Qualifications:
· Open availability, including nights and weekends, with flexibility to work on-call shifts and holidays.
· Previous experience in a customer service role and/hotel role, and demonstrated excellence in customer service skills: reliable, consistent, and courteous.
· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all departments, and guests.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Proficient in common computer skills, software applications, Microsoft Office suite, and software applications.
· Pervious experience with Opera.
· Bilingual is plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
· Able to work in a continuously standing position for five or more hours.
· Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
· Verbal communication, including speech and response to spoken questions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
