Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical environment, particularly in a busy clinic setting/ This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and internal medicine practices, as well as the ability to work with a team. Must have COVID vaccine as part of RHC certification. Must be able to pass drug screen.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and perform basic treatments as directed by physicians.
- Conduct patient intake, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Ensure accurate coding for billing purposes and maintain patient records.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Support the healthcare team in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Stay informed about current practices in hospital medicine and physiology knowledge to enhance patient care.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology and coding practices.
- Strong knowledge of physiology related to patient care.
- Experience in medication administration and internal medicine procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Level II Trauma Center.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks while ensuring quality patient service.
