Title: IT Supervisor
Employment Terms: Twelve (12) months
Salary Classification: Classified Salary Schedule (Exempt)
General Statement of Responsibilities: Responsible for management and operation of district-owned data networks, servers, network applications, and services. Under general supervision, this position reports to the Business Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of Wan, LAN, and Telecommunications systems.
- Maintain file and data servers.
- Initiate necessary upgrades to said file and database servers.
- Install and test proposed software programs to be purchased by the District.
- Advise as to the compatibility of proposed software programs.
- Initiate installation of new network and data processing equipment.
- Determine whether a problem needs outside help or can be fixed in-house.
- Advise on purchases of new network and workstation equipment and workstation equipment to maintain compatibility with existing infrastructure.
- Maintain a supply of computer supplies and repair parts.
- Manage E-Mail accounts and telephone Pin’s.
- Diagnose problems encountered by computer users throughout the district.
- Perform set up, cabling, and hook-up functions as needed for any computer system in the district.
- Determine whether a problem needs outside help or can be fixed in-house.
- Keep track of the inventory of computer equipment and what is out for repair.
- Maintain records of computer service work.
- Provide prompt service to teachers or other users for any computer problems they may have.
- Manage the department budget and purchases within district policies and procedures.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Post high school course work or training appropriate to the position
- One to three years of experience in computer technology
License: Must have a valid driver’s license
