TITLE: Student Information Systems (SIS)
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Twelve (12) Months
SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Classified Salary Non-Exempt
GENERAL STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
At Red Mesa Unified School District, the District Purchasing/ Student Information Systems (SIS) is responsible in overseeing and demonstrate a positive, professional, and understanding relationship with parents, students, and district staff; maintain a positive and productive attitude within the workplace; uphold personal conduct outside of the workplace; maintain a high-level of confidentiality; assure correctness of job duties as described within; willingness to collaborate to provide optimal efficiency and effectiveness for the operations of the District; adhere to and enforce policies and procedures set forth by the District.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Maintain, monitor, and operate District’s Student Information Systems (SIS) software;
- Provide in-house technical support/assistance and training on SIS;
- Ensure accuracy of student information/data reported to the Arizona Dept. of Education (ADE) to ensure maximum budget capacity for funding awarded to the District based off the reported student information/data;
- Complete comparison reports between AzEDS and District SIS to resolve any discrepancies and/or errors with the reported information;
- Maintain District student enrollment and withdrawal processes and data district-wide;
- Create and maintain district student enrollment/withdrawal documents;
- Maintain student data for all qualifying Programs and Services (ESS, ELL, Early Childhood Education, Free/Reduced Lunch, etc.);
- Maintain student daily attendance codes and monitor data entry district-wide;
- Create and verify District’s instructional time schedules and calendars to ensure compliance with ADE and District requirements;
- Generate student ADM (Average Daily Membership) and enrollment reports for District use as needed; 11. Provide required student/enrollment information to prepare and complete the District’s applications for Impact Aide, Johnson O’Malley, and other funding entities/applications; complete and submit
District’s Impact Aide application prior to submission due date;
QUALIFICATION: AA/AS Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Management, or other related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year experience with public school procurement/buying in Arizona and experience with accessing and navigating ADE Connect and understanding reports within;
Experience with the following software is preferred: Tyler Tech Infinite Visions (Enterprise) and/or I-Visions, Tyler SIS (Student Information System), QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Google G-Suite for Education; Have experience working in a multicultural/rural; Navajo or Native American Preferred.
LICENSE: Valid Driver's License
