Position Overview: As an Event Manager at Red Mesa Events, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities, at first focusing on administrative tasks and operational processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive training manuals, outlining steps of service, company policies, and event protocols.
- Manage inventory for events, coordinating with vendors to ensure sufficient supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Handle linen and bar orders, ensuring inventory levels are optimized for upcoming events.
- Generate and organize Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Event Logistics:
- Collaborate with fellow managers and staff to execute events, overseeing setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Gradually assume responsibility for more complex events, applying your operational expertise to ensure seamless experiences.
- Client Interaction:
- Support senior event managers in client interactions, attending meetings, and contributing operational insights to event planning.
- Develop and showcase a deep understanding of client expectations to align operational processes with the desired event outcomes.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and refine operational processes, identifying areas for efficiency enhancement and cost savings.
- Implement best practices across events to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Staff Management:
- Schedule event staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff, ensuring appropriate coverage for each event.
- Lead the hiring and onboarding process for new staff, conducting interviews, completing paperwork, and providing training.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in event operations, administrative management, and staff supervision.
