Summary:
This isn’t your standard 9 – 5 and that is primarily why you’ll love working at Red Mile Gaming & Racing. Qualified candidates are an experienced Marketing & Event professional with a strong attention to detail who feels comfortable working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and share our belief that marketing, events, & promotions are as much about behavior and emotion as it is about acquisition, engagement, and customer loyalty. Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, you’ll create, oversee, & schedule a multitude of property events while also building powerful, brand-consistent marketing content with an emphasis on conceptualizing and developing marketing design solutions that meet a stated strategy or goal while telling Red Mile’s story in an effective and creative way that aligns with our overall brand.
Essential Job Functions:
· Assist in the planning and execution of approved Events and VIP Promotions with emphasis on quality and budgetary guidelines; monitors events to ensure Company objectives have been met.
· Work closely with the Marketing Manager & Food & Beverage Director to ensure all requirements are met for VIP Promotions and Special Events.
· Coordinate the setup of decorations and promotional themes for specific promotional events.
· Develops implementation timelines and task lists and coordinates all aspects of promotions and events with Marketing, IT, Player Services, Food & Beverage, etc.
· Assist in the production of support materials for special events and promotions.
· Ensure promotional literature and signage are created, ordered, & properly displayed throughout the property.
· Facilitate dissemination of special event and promotional information throughout the department and property, includes collecting reservations.
· Maintain files and accurate records of all promotions and special events.
· Work closely with the Marketing Manager with coordination and execution of entertainment and special events as assigned.
· Assist with marketing analysis with each event.
· Interacting with a diverse client customer base & providing exceptional customer service.
· Engaging with patrons regularly to assess promotion’s communication & adjust campaigns to have coherent messaging that resonates with our customer base.
· Brings innovation, creativity, & a freshness to our marketing execution. Staying on top of the trends in the marketing & events profession.
· Works cooperatively in a team environment; participates in project planning sessions with team members and stakeholders.
· Provide service to internal and external customers which reflects the company mission to provide a Clean, Safe, Friendly, & Fun environment for our guests & employees.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field and two years of marketing and/or events experience required.
· Prior event coordination experience is a plus.
· Computer literacy in Adobe Photoshop Suite & Microsoft Office.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience utilizing social media in a business environment.
· Graphic design skills, video editing experience is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must be available to work flexible shift, nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Candidate will have high energy, strong interpersonal skills, enjoy and create a team environment.
· Must be 21 years of age or older.
· A willingness to go the extra mile to make customers happy.
· Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
· Able and willing to work cooperatively and lead other team members.
· Must be able to communicate in English (Bilingual in Spanish a plus).
Physical Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs., while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, knee, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear.
Salary : $17 - $22
