Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced sales manager, responsible for sales volume execution, planning and strategy development, forecast and specific customer business plans for US major retailers, as well as overall management of broker organization(s) assigned to the specific territory and customer base.
Job Accountabilities and Duties:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement retail sales strategies and objectives to achieve revenue targets for assigned customers.
- Drive growth by expanding retail distribution across assigned customers.
- Identify new retail opportunities, channel strategies, and emerging market trends to increase distribution.
- Collaborate with the marketing, commercialization and product development teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall RMF company objectives.
- Manage the coordination of all project work regarding new programs, administration of current items and programs, and research and development of future opportunities related to customer and class of trade sales opportunities, marketing tools and programming, and sales reporting.
Retail Partner Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and key decision-makers at major retailers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for retail partners, ensuring that all sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Negotiate shelf placement, promotional opportunities, and pricing strategies to maximize sales.
- Provide retailers with product knowledge, market trends and innovation opportunities to enhance distribution, grow sales and improve profitability.
Agency Oversight:
- Oversee day to day planning and execution of broker agency managers with specific customer opportunities.
- Develop KPI measurements to ensure alignment with company annual operating plans and MAPS objectives.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations to agency customer managers.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture focused on team achievement and individual growth.
Sales Performance & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze retail sales performance, track progress toward goals, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, market trends, and opportunities.
- Use sales data and insights to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans to drive continuous growth.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends within the spices and seasoning category.
- Use competitive insights to inform pricing, promotional, and sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Keep up to date on retail trends, consumer preferences, and innovations in the spices and seasoning industry.

- Sales and Marketing Manager

Incumbent Profile:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent combination of CPG experience sales experience and education
- Minimum 7-10 years in CPG Sales management, (spices and seasonings experience a plus)
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical ability, including experience using data analysis to make sound recommendations
- Consistent ability to manage multiple projects from idea to solution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or relevant software packages
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience/knowledge of FMCG, private label manufacturing is preferred
- Travel expectations of 50% or more
