Shipping Coordinator

Shift Hours Monday-Friday 10am-6:30pm

Position Profile:

Responsible for coordination of shipping and receiving functions for the warehouse.  Processes and assigns proper status to incoming and outgoing shipments of raw materials and finished goods. Coordinates with customers and traffic to ensure outbound shipments are made on schedule and meet customer requirements.   Reviews inventory activity and makes entries to the inventory management system to account for inventory changes.  Produces, collects and maintains documentation regarding inventory received and shipped out as well as materials movement in the warehouse. Produces and tracks pick tickets on a daily basis, ensuring ticket are properly fulfilled and accounted for in the inventory system.

Job Duties and Accountabilities:

• Shipping 
• Ensures that scheduled shipments are correctly fulfilled and shipped to meet customer requirements.
  • Works with customers to understand shipping and traffic requirements. Reviews shipping schedule on a daily basis and takes action to properly process loads for timely shipping.  
  • Identifies issues that may impact on time shipping and finds solutions to issues or notifies Supervisor of loads that may be at risk of not being shipped on schedule.
  • Properly processes inventory changes from shipping activities into the inventory management system.  Makes adjustments to inventory based on raw material and finished goods activity.   
  • Communicates with customers using email and direct contact to ensure documentation is completed and accurate to both Red Monkey Foods standards and customer requirements.  Understands customer requirements, by customer, and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction.

1. Produces, collects and maintains documentation regarding inventory shipped out as well as materials movement in the warehouse. Produces and tracks pick tickets on a daily basis, ensuring ticket are properly fulfilled and accounted for in the inventory system.

• May load outbound shipments using a forklift or other materials moving equipment.

• Receiving.  Ensures that inventory received is accurately counted and entered into the inventory management system. 
  • Properly processes inventory changes from receiving activities into the inventory management system.         Makes adjustments to inventory based on raw material and finished goods activity.   

1. Produces, collects, and maintains documentation regarding inventory received ensuring incoming loads are accurately accounted for in the inventory system.

• May unload incoming loads using a forklift or other materials moving equipment

• Inventory Management .  
• Ensures that inventory and materials transactions are accurately accounted for in the inventory management system.
  • Properly processes inventory changes from both receiving and shipping activities into the inventory management system.  Make adjustments to inventory based on raw material and finished goods activity.  
  • Reviews inventory and cycle counts for accuracy and may make adjustments to correct inventory variances.  Reconciles and understands inventory variances.
• Teamwork and Collaboration.  Acts as a key member of the Warehouse Team. Actively engages in team meetings, and provides timely feedback to team regarding areas of responsibility. May provide and/or receive input from across functional boundaries. Understands organizational mesh points and potential synergies. Integrates team efforts across business segments and channels. Provides direction and instruction to others regarding daily shipping and inventory management.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, prefer Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• 2 years of progressive work experience in warehousing, shipping, or receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification or the ability to attain forklift certification in 30 days.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Good analytical ability, including the ability to analyze statistical data and make sound recommendations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be organized and detail oriented, and be able to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities
• Must be innovative and performance and quality driven
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or relevant software packages
