What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandising Clerk position at Red Mountain Retail dba ASHLEY?
Ashley is the #1 Furniture and Mattress company in North America. Red Mountain Retail owns and operates Ashley in North and Central Alabama. The Merchandising Clerk must be an enthusiastic self-starter with a great eye for detail and strong computer skills. This role will report to the Director of Merchandising and assist with merchandising and pricing projects within the organization.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday
8:00AM - 5:00:PM CT and can vary based on needs of the business and workload.
Position Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Coordinate with various departments to maintain efficient SKU
- Assist to perform all data entry operations and maintain records of all purchase order entry
- Collaborate with the merchandising department to help develop merchandising plans and ensure compliance to all quality standards
- Assist with order parts and other relevant items
- Compile and distribute merchandising reports to necessary departments
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong interest in merchandising and/or retail
- Creativity
- Strong listening, presentation and decisionmaking skills
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing information, responsibilities, processes or procedures
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in written and verbal form
