“NOTE: If selected for this position, you are required to perform ALL work within a commutable distance of your assigned Worksite Location. Three days a week onsite, Tues, Wed, Thurs, with Monday and Friday being remote”
Core Java Software Engineer for Austin, TX for a 12-month Contract.
Responsibilities:
- Hands on coding of new features and maintenance work.
- Translate product requirements into product features and solutions.
- Design complex distributed and highly scalable Java based components and applications.
- Design and develop server-side components / frameworks based on XML/Java.
- Object-oriented design principles and patterns
- Build services using back end technologies (Java, Spring, Hibernate)
Required Skills:
- Technical Stack: Core Java, NoSQL-MongoDB or Cassandra, SpringBoot
- 5 years of experience in a scalable, multi-threaded server side, test driven development environment
- Proven Enterprise industry experience with large scale distributed systems
- Web application development, Responsive Web, RESTful web services & APIs.
- Experience designing/building scalable REST API’s.
- Experience with open source frameworks / servers (Spring, Hibernate).
- Preferred No-SQL technologies (Cassandra/MongoDB ) and caching solutions
- Nice to have - Experience with messaging systems.
- Bachelors Computer Science (or equiv.).
