- 5 years of Enterprise Release Engineering experience
- Git operations and workflow, python, exposure to AWS ecosystem
- Automate build & deployment processes
- Support Continuous Integration
- Maven builds
- CI/CD tools
- Experience in Git/GitHub, GitOps, Git Branching strategies
- Set up guardrails on Git milestones, labels.
- Available for on-call Support
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support/maintain non prod environments and support CI/CD tools
- Support existing RE team in Build, Deploy and Release process
for various environments like Development, Testing and Production
- Manage tasks like Branch cutting, tagging, versioning
- Set up guardrails on Git milestones, labels.
- Coordinate and interact with multiple teams related to various release cycles and environment updates
- Support Daily, scheduled, off-schedule and Continuous deployments as needed
•Identify and troubleshoot build/deployment issues within the release window
during QA release cycle
- Execute release cutovers, plan and coordinate events and activities.
- Work with the development team, QA team, operation team, project management team, and external teams to triage issues.
- Keep track of new bug’s and issues faced during Build and Release
via issue tracking tools like Radar and Espresso
- Troubleshoot issues caused due dependencies mentioned in POM file for maven builds
- Coordinate with various teams across the globe to resolve the issues in QA environment
- Generate reports for QA release using shell script, documenting the release packages, version, services and revision
- Collaborate well with Release Manager, other Release engineers and Dev team members
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Ansible and Docker
- Work closely with engineers, QA, project managers throughout the
software lifecycle in successfully delivering best in class, large scale systems
- Automate solutions and optimize outcomes, implementing continuous integration
and deployment in a challenging and fast paced environment:
- Analyze the technology options/feasibility and define the build,
delivery, and deployment pipeline for applications
- Provide leadership in implementing a secure, robust and high availability DevOps pipeline
- Implement push button deployment at scale with zero downtime
