ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ALL POSITIONS AND EMPLOYEES:
SAFETY:
It is the responsibility of all employees to maintain a safe workplace. This includes:
working safety & following safety rules,
maintaining a clean, organized workplace and materials are safely stored,
keep emergency equipment exits and egresses free from obstructions.
Reporting and identifying risks when they happen or are present.
QUALITY:
It is the responsibility of all employees to ensure a quality product is produced. This includes:
Properly storing and handling of raw materials,
maintaining a clean and organized workplace,
following the provided work instructions,
complying with quality plan,
reporting and identifying non-conforming materials or work when they happen or are present.
Identifying opportunities for improvement.
HUMAN RESPOURCES:
All employees should follow policies as described in the Handbook which is available through BambooHR app.
All employees should clock in when they are inside the building ready to begin work. They should clock out after work is completed and before leaving the property.
Employees should be on-time for their shift and should notify their direct supervisor if they will be late, absent or leave early.
During the 4-day shift, employees are permitted a total of 36 minutes of paid break times during the workday.
ASSEMBLER Trainee:
Production Activities:
Follow the presented production schedule or per the instructions from the direct supervisor,
Use the work instructions to build the product, package, label and palletize for shipping,
As much as possible, build using one-piece flow and lean principles,
Inform direct supervisor on part shortage or non-conformities.
Report any material movements outside of the work area to Lead Assembler
Put away tools, organize and clean the work area at the end of the shift.
Empty full waste bins into the dumpsters or hazardous waste barrel as appropriate.
Report production completed either manually (whiteboard) or in ERP system.
Support activities as directly may include:
Relocating material in the warehouse,
General warehouse cleaning and organizations,
Assisting with inventory counts
ASSEMBLER I:
All ASSEMBLER Trainee responsibilities plus the following:
Complete in-process inspections as required,
Red-Tag non-conforming materials and place in Red-Tag bin or zone,
Record any material movements outside of the work area on White board or Move sheet,
Assist with equipment cleaning and maintenance.
Assist with Loading & unloading of trucks as directed by the direct supervisor.
ASSEMBLER II:
All ASSEMBLER Trainee & ASSEMBLER I responsibilities plus the following:
Inspect raw material as required by Direct Supervisor.
Provide training to production workers.
Assure that the production schedule is achieved.
Assist to design and build tooling and jigs to assist with production.
Open and close the building at the beginning and end of the shift.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
ASSEMBER TRAINEE: NONE ENTRY LEVEL
ASSEMBER 1: 1-3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING
LEAD ASSEMBER: 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Salary : $17 - $21
