What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics & Warehouse Crew position at Red Ribbon Bakeshop?
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for checking and tagging of delivery and expiry date on all incoming materials, picking and filling orders from stock; packing and shipping order; organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse and loading in delivery trucks/transportation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Receive and process warehouse stocks products, tag and label materials and transfer to the warehouse racks or sub-location, optimizing warehouse space.
• Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling the required material, and placing it in the designated delivery area.
• Prepare/complete reports by entering the required information in the system such as receipt, transfers, and issuance to the stores.
• Perform assigned duties in the section & follow strictly the schedule, making sure that all standard operating procedures and quality standards are followed when operating or utilizing equipment, tools (i.e. remove or put the strapping, open crates, etc.) and handling stocks.
• Seek training, certifications, technical competencies/expertise to operate all equipment and tools (i.e forklift operations, etc.).
• Follow model and influence others to strictly comply to all company policies, workplace safety standards, food safety, supplies and inventory management, First In-First Out (FIFO), proper storage, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Housekeeping Practices or 5S (keeping racks, pallet area & workstation clean), Clean As You Go (CAYGo), Cleanliness and Sanitation, Allergen, etc.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Attend required training and certification programs necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities and achievement of unit’s goals.
• Initiate coordination and communication with team members and management team to support the achievement of all goals and objectives.
• Perform other job/task or warehouse/logistics-related assignments as assigned by immediate supervisor or team leader in order to develop one’s self and/or share one’s expertise resulting to support work efficiencies & productivity.
• Assist the Team Leader in training the new workforce (as assigned).
• Record production output and wastages incurred during the work shift (as assigned).
• May be assigned as utility crew, learn and do line jobs during busy season or in the absence of other assigned crew.
• May be assigned a project related to the area of accountability.
