Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Production Activities: Oversee daily production processes, ensuring efficient and timely manufacturing of wild bird seed products.
- Quality Control: Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company and industry standards, reporting any deviations.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and direct production staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
- Inventory & Materials Management: Monitor raw material levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure sufficient stock for production needs.
- Machine Operation & Maintenance: Ensure production equipment is operated safely and efficiently; coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce workplace safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with OSHA standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for efficiency improvements and collaborate with management to implement changes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, track key performance metrics, and report findings to the Production Manager.
- Experience: 2 years in a production or manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the food or agricultural industry.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in an environment with exposure to dust and varying temperatures.
- Knowledge of Safety Standards: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and food safety guidelines.
