Position Title:
Roving Member Service Teller
Reports To:
Teller Supervisor, Branch Manager, and/or Regional Director
Basic Function:
Provide quality teller and member service duties to members and potential members at various branch locations.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to various branch locations, as assigned, to assist when short-staffed.
- Greet and welcome members and visitors to RRCU in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
- Assist members in accordance with operating procedures of the Credit Union, performing basic teller and member service functions under minimum supervision.
- Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services, and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve.
- Assists members with membership needs, such as direct deposits, IRA withdrawals or changes, electronic tax filing, check reordering, automatic transfers, and wire transfers.
- Produces and explains statement, verifies transactions made on accounts, and makes necessary corrections.
- Balances cash drawer daily.
- Responsible for the security of their own negotiables until signed over to the proper designated employee.
- Alert to warnings of fraud and troubleshoot member issues.
- Promotes and cross-sell all RRCU products and services.
- Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Twelve months or more of experience in a teller position preferred.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
- Friendly, outgoing individual with good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include the ability to transport and reposition heavy bags of coin, to stand on feet for long periods of time, and to operate standard teller equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
