What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agronomy Sales Manager position at Red River Grain Company?
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for sales of products and services for Red River Grain / Hefty Seed Company. The right candidate will oversee and manage his own location, and bring independence and vibrancy to that location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Initiate sales contacts and present and support the Hefty Brand products and services.
· Grow volume of sales year over year.
· Increase customer base year over year.
· Actively engage with customers, providing excellent customer service to growers and proactively sharing information with them.
· Actively engage in all Hefty trainings, Field Days, Farmer Meetings, and any and all other marketing activities providing within the business infrastructure.
· Establish personal and store sales goals. Develop a regular sales call strategy with current customers and prospects, which will be reviewed on a weekly basis as the business gets established. Annual sales goals will be expected to be met, with minimums set by management.
· Inventory management.
· Complete all administrative qualities, in a timely and efficient manner.
· Maintain the upkeep and maintenance of the location and facility to build up the store.
· Direct supervision of site warehouse personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
· Agronomy related experience and/or Agronomy degree.
· A competitive drive and a track record of success in sales.
· Leadership skills.
· Excellent communication skills and a team player.
· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
· Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
COMPENSATION:
· Compensation with base pay, company benefits package, and a bonus structure that rewards performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
