Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential substance abuse treatment facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a background in leadership and behavioral health. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent time management abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all clients and guests.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of household management including cleaning, maintenance, and organization.
- Coordinate residential cleaning schedules and ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the property.
- Manage supplies and inventory, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and readily available.
- Supervise tech staff and contractors working within the facility, ensuring tasks are completed to satisfaction.
- Maintain effective communication with staff regarding schedules, events, and any other relevant information.
- Documents and reports all incidents to compliance and/or corporate office.
- Supervise shift change so that all reports are communicated efficiently.
- Oversee all environmental rounds.
- Ensures facility cleanliness – interior and exterior.
- Reports Property Plant, Equipment and Maintenance issues to Administrator and Corporate office.
- Helps manage crisis and emergency situations involving clients during hours worked.
- Ensures a safe environment for clients; enforces program rules at all times during hours worked.
- Provides transportation for clients as needed.
- Assists UDS screenings per company policy and at Medical Director’s discretion.
- Provides appropriate support and structure for clients in dealing with their recovery
- Documents and reports any staff issues to Direct Supervisor, Administrator, and HR.
- Performs inventory counts and reports facility needs to corporate office.
- Oversees and directs day to day workflow of ARTs (Techs).
- Ensures new ARTs receive appropriate orientation and ongoing training is in place.
- Provides objective feedback to ARTs in areas of needed improvement.
- Conducts interviews for vacant positions and selects qualified candidates to fill open positions.
- Ensures proper scheduling is maintained for client: staff ratios.
- Assists in decreasing ASA numbers and complaints.
- Along with interdisciplinary team members, coordinate recovery activities for the clients including but not limited to peer support group, client led recovery groups, outside recovery meetings and recovery speakers/meetings being brought into the facility.
- Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team in identifying and maintaining sponsorship scheduling including maintaining an active list of approved sponsors, communication with those sponsors and identifying times for sponsorship.
- Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to serve as a liaison to outside recovery organizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Proven experience in leadership and behavioral health is highly desirable.
- Strong background in housekeeping management with an emphasis on maintaining cleanliness standards according to LDH and Joint Commission.
- Demonstrated ability in time management and organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks.
- Peer support specialist, CIT or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Customer service driven with a genuine interest in the well-being of clients.
- Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with clients and their families, professional support staff and other team members.
- Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
- Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
- High energy with engaging personality and strong people skills.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
- Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
