Contract Delivery Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver (Independent Contractor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various driving tasks.

Duties

• Safely operate vehicles including vans and box trucks for deliveries.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured during transport.
• Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents that may occur.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.

Skills

• Proficient in driving various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and vans.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading cargo.
• Experience in moving goods efficiently from one location to another.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in handling deliveries.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
