Job Description
Red River Pharmacy LTC of Tyler is part of a growing family of pharmacies, partnering with long-term care facilities, post- acute care facilities, hospitals, home health providers, and more to supply medications to patients across East Texas. This position is responsible for assisting the pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications. Working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist the tech will measure, count, mix, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications. Attention to detail is essential when maintaining records for the LTC department, insuring LTC policy & procedures are followed, ordering/stocking drugs & supplies, insuring proper maintenance, cleaning of equipment, work areas, shelves and refrigerator are clean and orderly.
Responsibilities Include
- Filling daily prescription orders accurately and efficiently
- Assisting in processing returned drugs
- Preparing Emergency Kits
- Assisting in the running of automated dispensing machines
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work areas and replenishing supplies as needed
Prerequisites
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
