Job Summary

Red River Potatoes, a potato dehydration facility specializing in drying French fries and whole potatoes, is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee plant operations. This hands-on leadership role requires direct engagement on the production floor while managing logistics, equipment maintenance, and production efficiencies. The Facility Manager will be responsible for meeting strict KPIs, labor standards, and production benchmarks to ensure operational excellence and cost control.

Key ResponsibilitiesFacility & Production Management

• Oversee daily operations of potato dehydration processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
• Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and process optimization to meet output targets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient facility in compliance with safety and operational standards.

Performance & Accountability

• Drive production KPIs, labor efficiency, and quality standards, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews and implement corrective actions to optimize results.

Employee Leadership

• Lead a team of production employees, providing hands-on supervision and ensuring compliance with labor standards.
• Foster a high-performance culture with strong teamwork, training, and accountability.

Logistics & Inventory Management

• Oversee inbound raw material shipments and outbound finished product deliveries in coordination with suppliers, customers, and transport teams.
• Maintain inventory tracking systems to ensure accurate reporting and availability of materials.

Equipment & Maintenance

• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and repairs for dehydrators, processing equipment, and conveyance systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, working closely with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

Process Optimization

• Utilize food processing expertise to refine dehydration processes, maximize efficiency, and reduce operational bottlenecks.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production throughput and quality.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and food safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility, proactively addressing hazards and inefficiencies.

Data & Reporting

• Maintain detailed production logs and efficiency metrics.
• Provide regular reports to ownership on production output, labor utilization, and cost control efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of management/leadership experience in food processing, dehydration, or industrial production.
• Food Processing Expertise: Prior experience in potato dehydration, drying processes, or related operations is required.
• Mechanical Knowledge: Strong ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial processing equipment.
• KPI & Labor Management: Proven ability to track and improve KPIs, labor productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Logistics & Supply Chain: Experience in shipment coordination, inventory management, and supplier relations.
• Leadership & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and resolve operational challenges.
• Work Environment: Willingness to be hands-on and work directly on the production floor.

Performance Expectations

• The Facility Manager will be held accountable for meeting production goals and labor efficiency targets.
• Monthly performance reviews will assess progress on KPIs, cost control, and process improvements.
• Continuous process enhancement in potato dehydration and drying operations will be expected.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
