What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will be responsible for pulling and transporting heavy trash and cardboard from designated trash rooms to on-site dumpsters using a trailer. This is a physically demanding position that requires the constant lifting and moving of heavy materials weighing up to 40–50 lbs. You’ll be working as part of a dedicated crew, ensuring the timely emptying of garbage receptacles. Janitor (Trash Attendant) Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lift and move cardboard and heavy trash (40–50 lbs) from designated trash rooms, via trailer, to the dumpsters.
- Work closely with drivers and other team members to ensure work is completed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in trash rooms and surrounding areas.
- Monitor assigned area regularly to identify when trash needs to be emptied.
- Provide friendly service to the client and maintain courteous interactions with the public.
- This role is mainly outdoors; comfort with outdoor work is required.
Janitor (Trash Attendant) Qualifications & Requirements:
- Able to pass a background in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Able to work collaboratively and be a team player.
- Strong work ethic, punctual, and reliable.
- Able to follow safety protocols while lifting and handling bulky or heavy items.
- Authorized to work in the US – We Use eVerify.
Janitor (Trash Attendant) Physical Requirements:
- Work outdoors for extended periods.
- Walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Lift, push, pull, carry, and move heavy trash materials weighing up to 40–50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks consistently throughout the shift.
