Job Title: Warehouse Specialist ICEMP LH β HMSO
Position Summary
The Warehouse Specialist, Low Hazard performs a variety of warehousing duties including the following: receipt and verification of inbound material; reporting discrepancies and damage; stacking or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed methods; and issuing material.
Essential Functions of the Position
- Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials.
- Handles shipment preparation and verification of paperwork.
- Utilizes the First In First Out (FIFO) method to ensure proper stock rotation and issuance of hazardous materials.
- Handles management of shelf life; and management of expired HAZMAT (not coded A or B).
- Examines condition of stock and reports deterioration.
- Affixes EEOH-MIS bar code labels or temporary labels for one-time use material to products to facilitate tracking accurately.
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
- Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Work Environment
- This position is classified as Low Hazard.
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to perform detailed warehouse operations as assigned in accordance with AR 710-1 (Centralized Inventory Management of the Army Supply System) and AR 710-2 (Supply Policy Below the National Level).
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must have warehousing experience.
- Must have the ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Must have knowledge of and an understanding of storage plans and ability to follow procedures, priorities, Army regulation and local guidance.
- Must be skilled in material handling equipment and hand truck operation.
- Forklift certification required.
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
