About us: Red River Valley Community Action is a non-profit federally funded agency. The Weatherization department crew members travel from Grand Forks, ND to job sites in the four counties of Grand Forks, Nelson, Pembina and Walsh. Company vehicles, equipment and tools will be provided by RRVCA. Extensive skills training is offered, employees are given work uniforms and cold weather gear.
Pay for entry-level crew members starts at $18.00 per hour and is adjusted after three month orientation period.
Benefits include full time employment, health insurance, dental and vision insurance, retirement plan , health savings account and long-term disability coverage. Paid time off is accumulated from day one. Each FT employee is allowed ten paid holidays per year.
Hours: Monday -Thursday, 10 hour days from 7 AM to 5:30 PM. No weekends or holidays. This is a full time position during all 12 months of the year.
Skills/Requirements/Qualifications/Duties: Previous Construction experience is desired and hands on training starts at day one. Duties include insulating, caulking, weather stripping and other energy savings tasks. Ability to lift 75 to 100 lbs. and work in confined spaces is required. Having a valid driver's license is a plus. We are looking for a crew member with good work ethics, is reliabile, has good human relation skills and a willingness to learn.
