Seasonal Guest Services Staff
Summary
The Guest Services staff assists in the daily operations of the Red River Zoo.
Essential Functions

Admissions
· Create a lasting impression on guests upon entry and exit of the zoo.
· Educate guests about conservation, SAFE, animals in general, and animal welfare.
· Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
· Assist guests in the conducting of transactions.
· Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests to enjoy.
Carousel
· Create a lasting impression on guests throughout their carousel experience.
· Educate guests about conservation, SAFE, animals in general, and animal welfare.
· Maintain a safe and clean atmosphere for guests to enjoy.
· Assist guests in the conducting of transactions.
Concessions Stand
· Safely prepare and serve food to guests.
· Educate guests about conservation, SAFE, animals in general, and animal welfare.
· Assist guests in the conducting of transactions.
· Maintain a safe and clean environment for yourself and guests.
· Shelf stocking, and product quality maintenance.
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
Work Environment
Guest Services staff members work in the admissions building, carousel pavilion, and Dancing Crane Café. Additionally, our Guest Services staff may be required to work outdoors during special events.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, stocking needs to occasionally be done. Miscellaneous projects may require the ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position where hours will vary based upon the zoo’s need for staff. We have many events throughout the season with varying time frames.
Our season runs from mid-April to the end of October.
