What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Relations Liaison position at RED ROCK BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES?
SUMMARY
The Community Relations Manager will create and be responsible for the implementation and development of community relations and special projects. Under the direction of the COO and Clinic Director, will oversee or assist with other projects related promoting Red Rock in the community, public relations, and marketing. Engages with the organization staff as well as community members and potential donors to develop relationships and assist in raising awareness for the mission and goals of the organization. Researches and identifies grants that may be available to the organization. Writes and applies for grants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with the COO and Clinic Director to determine the mission, purpose, and priorities of the organization
- Develop relationships with Red Rock’s Military Family clinic staff and community stakeholders as well as various departments and programs within Red Rock
- Assists with identification, cultivation, and stewardship plans for potential donors
- Schedules, coordinates, and participates in community cultivation and solicitation
- Manages tracking database
- Identifies grants that organization may be eligible for
- Writes and applies for grants applicable to the organization
- Tracks community activities
- Cultivates relationships by routine communication and follow-ups
- Plans events that effectively communicate the purposes of the organization
- Per the direction of the COO and Clinical Director, may engage in legislative acts and advocacy and presents Red Rock BHS at various community functions and events
- Acts as a professional liaison and brand steward for Red Rock BHS, as needed
- Maintains professional knowledge and stays up-to-date with current industry and media trends.
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree Preferred
- Knowledge of military and Veteran’s Affairs
- Excellent communication, writing, and research skills
- Commitment to the mission of Red Rock BHS
