Job Requirements
- Valid Washington State Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
When candidate qualifications are otherwise comparable, preference will be given to applicants who are bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish.
Qualifications
- Successful experience using direct instruction curriculum
- Successful teaching/student teaching experience.
- Experience in teaching core academic skills at the elementary level.
- Experience and/or training working with diverse learning capabilities ranging from special education through gifted including at-risk students.
- Ability to successfully prepare students for state assessments
- Preference will be given to candidates with elementary teaching experience.
- Demonstrated interest, commitment, and ability to work positively with students at the elementary level.
- Demonstrated positive interactions with students at the elementary school level.
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to decision-making in collaboration with administrators and other staff members.
- Experience working with elementary PLCs to make curricular and instructional decisions
- Knowledge of Washington State Common Core State Standards as they relate to elementary curriculum
- Must be familiar with ELL strategies.
- Experience interpreting data from: DIBELS, NWEA and program assessments to make instructional and student placement decisions.
- Must be familiar with the RtI process at the elementary level.
- Must be familiar with Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Terms of Employment:
Starting Date: 2025-26 School Year
Salary: $54,935-$114,242 Based on Education and Experience, 2025-26 Salary Schedule
