What You'll Do: As our Volunteer Coordinator, you'll be the superhero behind the scenes, managing, training, and coordinating our amazing volunteer team. Here's how you'll make a difference:
- Recruit & Train: Lead exciting recruitment sessions (at least 3 a year!) to find, educate, and onboard volunteers who are ready to lend a helping hand.
- Volunteer Support: Ensure our volunteers have the tools they need through training, support, and supervision. Keep track of monthly stats and make sure the program is running smoothly.
- Team Player: Be part of interdisciplinary team meetings, ensuring our patients and families get the care and support they deserve.
- Community Outreach: Spread the word! Share the importance of hospice volunteer services with individuals and community groups.
- Bereavement Care: Oversee our Bereavement Program, providing grief counseling and support to families and caregivers after the loss of their loved ones.
✨ What You Bring:
- Healthcare Experience: At least 2 years in a healthcare setting (hospice and volunteer experience preferred).
- Education: A college degree in healthcare or human services is a plus!
- Grief Counseling Skills: Experience in grief or loss counseling is needed if you take on the Bereavement Coordinator role.
- Spanish Speaker? Awesome! Bilingual candidates are highly preferred.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid license and reliable transportation.
