Summary of PositionThe Fitness and Operations Coordinator oversees fitness and wellness programming and front desk operations at the Student Recreation Center and Arvada Fitness Center. This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating fitness and wellness programs, including group fitness, personal training, and special events. The fitness and wellness programs exist to meet the needs of the RRCC community, encourage participation in the programs, and foster a fun, inclusive and safe environment for program participants.This position recruits, trains, and supervises student staff, manages day-to-day facility operations, and oversees customer service, facility access, and program registration. Additionally, they ensure compliance with safety policies, provide American Red Cross certification training, and collaborate with campus departments to develop equitable programming. National Certification in personal training or group fitness from a NCCA accredited organization (AFAA, NASM, NSCA, ACE, ACSM, etc.) or ability to obtain within one year of employment.One (1) year Experience in personal training and / or group fitness teaching and evaluation.One (1) year Experience with event, wellness or fitness programming.
