Job Summary
As a Staff Development Coordinator, you will play a vital role in shaping the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff. Your responsibilities will include identifying learning needs, implementing training programs, and evaluating competencies.
You will develop an annual education calendar, oversee infection control and employee health programs, and perform clinical rounds to coach and assess training needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- IDentify staff learning needs and implement training programs to meet them.
- Manage nursing orientation and mentoring programs and monitor new nurses through orientation.
- Develop an annual nursing education calendar to include State/Federal mandatory in-services.
- Oversee the nursing centers' Infection Control program and Employee Health Program to include administration and tracking of vaccines and immunizations.
- Perform clinical rounds with nursing staff to coach and assess training needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience.
- Previous experience teaching adults is recommended.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
