What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Handler position at Red Rover Retreat at The Hitch'n Post?
Working with all types and breeds of dogs
- Prefer dog experience and willingness to become Dog Handler certified
- Taking dogs from kennels in safe play groups
- Free roam dog play environment where you will work with dogs on commands (sit, wait, come, leave it, off...) and behaving appropriate in free play
- Feeding the dogs
- Cleaning up after the dogs
- Desire to learn how or be confident around all dog breeds
- Desire to learn how read dogs (shy, friendly, aggressive, nervous, stressed...)
- Desire to learn how to care for dogs based on energy, age, aggressiveness, health and ability
- Morning shift starting at 7:45am to noon.
Working with cats - feeding, caring and cleaning
Able to develop a relationship with the dogs and their owners
Ability to multi-task quickly and efficiency to maximize the dogs play
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
