Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will be responsible for directing the activities of the plant’s operations and plans and assigns work, executes policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The Production Supervisor provides leadership and ensures the safe production of products that meet or exceeds efficiency and company quality to comply with food safety standards. In addition, the Production Supervisor ensures that facilities and processes conform to GMP and FSMA regulations by managing Quality Systems and documentation. Must be able to establish expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and reliability.

- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

- Report Red’s key performance indicators for the production area to internal stakeholders in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Collaborate with Red’s production site management team to jointly achieve company objectives.
- Complete standard daily work in accordance with external regulations and internal governance, insuring a safe workplace and high-quality standards for Red’s products.
- Execute Shift Production Room Scheduled Targets.
- (Tortilla/Cook Room/Production Schedule will be agreed upon in the Weekly Schedule).
- Act as a brand ambassador for Red’s corporate culture.
- 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing preferred.
- 2 years of experience managing and leading a team.
- Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Understands food manufacturing and production equipment.
- Understands the functionality of ingredients with time and temperature in the food manufacturing process.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of BRC, GMP’s, HACCP
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Good basic math aptitude and ability to use scales and calculators.
- Above average mechanical aptitude
- Must have strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing.
- Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Technology Supply and LEAN Manufacturing processes are key.
- Regular exposure to cold, hot and or humid conditions
- Climate extremes found in all areas of plant operations.
- Frequently works near moving and mechanical parts.
- Possible exposure to fumes and air borne particles.
- Ability to work in close spaces.
- Loud noise environment to be expected.
- Subjected to changing of priorities, time pressures, constraints, and high level of related stress.
- Required to use PPE when working around moving machinery.
