Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant, menu, and reservation availability.
- Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods, ensuring guests are informed of wait times.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, including menus and promotional materials.
Skills
- Strong guest relations skills to create a welcoming environment for all patrons.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries effectively.
- Proven customer service experience in a food service or restaurant setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members.
- A background in hospitality is advantageous, showcasing your commitment to excellent service.
