Buyer/Purchasing Agent

Red Seal Measurement is a provider of value-added products and services used to measure and control a wide variety of liquid fluids for custody transfer and general-purpose applications. Red Seal Measurement is a leader in the world of smart solutions by providing leading-edge technology to enable innovative inventory management systems.

We are currently looking for a Buyer/Purchasing Agent for our manufacturing facility in Greenwood, SC. This position will establish, analyze and maintain an attainable level of inventory for production operations. This individual will work with production and customer service personnel on a daily basis to have ideal flow of materials available for production.

No relocation available.

• Accountabilities:
• Analyze, calculate and monitor inventory levels on all product lines
• Place purchase orders based on replenishment needs

• Monitor order status, ensure deliveries and follow up with suppliers for smooth operations
• Review open orders for impact on schedules and resolve problems
• Develop and maintain good vendor relations
• Resolve problems, reconcile vendor returns and expedite order deliveries
• Work with the Quality Department to analyze any quality concerns throughout the Production process and implement necessary changes in order to improve production efficiency, quality and processing.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Experience in Purchasing
• 2 years’ material/inventory management
• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field preferred
• Spanish communication is a plus
• Previous ERP experience preferred
• Able to build relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
